It's HOT today and it's the first time I've had to turn on the A/C in my new house. I'm a bit nervous because I've never had to cool off a 2400 sf home before. With energy prices really high, I'm very concerned. And, unbearably hot weather is officially here in SoCal.
I've been shutting down the power source for my home theater every night and leaving only one PC network connected 24/7. I hope this helps but I won't see any real results until my next billing cycle. But now, with the A/C on, it will screw up my data analysis.
In any case, I found this article that talks about how to calculate how much energy your PC's are consuming and ways to save some of their consumption. Just want to share it with you.
