Hello and Happy Halloween! I'm a neophyte to blog postings but I'm a notorious (and addicted) lurker. A friend who is a consistent blogger finally got annoyed with me and said that I'm a "taker". Needless to say, that hit a nerve because we all want to think that we are not selfish, blood-sucking parasites. So, here I am - trying hard to appease a good friend, taking a risk in putting myself out here, and hoping that I am able to contribute something fun and interesting to this forum.
As for what I think I will be doing here, you'll just have to wait. If my personal hand-written journal is any indication of what I would be writing here, then the format is going to be loose, content will be potpourri, and a lot of things will not make sense at first.
To give you an indication of what I am about, the blog title should say something. I am a romantic at heart but definitely unable to make myself vulnerable enough to fully experience any type of deep emotional connection. At least that's the observation I've heard from people I know. I hope exploring some of my thoughts here will help me figure some things out and, with your help, maybe uncover some things I've been subconsciously overlooking all these years.
Send me a comment - words of encouragement and advice would be great. I'm curious to see where this will go. Here's to taking the first step to being out there!
